Welcome
Pollinkhove (municipality of Lo-Reninge) is a peaceful village located in the "flat land" of "Bachten the Kupe" and the Westhoek. It is an oasis of peace surrounded by a beautiful nature, where you can still hear yourself breathing.
Our holiday home (6 persons) consists of:
Ground floor: entrance, toilet, sitting area with TV, equipped kitchen with: refrigerator, dishwasher, ceramic cook top, combination microwave oven and coffee maker.
First floor: 3 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms and 1 room with bunk beds), bathroom, toilet. One of the two persons rooms has its own shower and there is room for a cot. The bathroom has a shower and a sink.
The garden: The garden has a bicycle shed with a barbecue and garden furniture. You can also rent a bike.
Parking: Parking is provided next to the house.
Westhoek discount pass: Free booklet with vouchers that offer you a discount off the entrance fee for museums, amusement parks, etc. You receive this when you book a minimum of two nights in the Westhoek.

Cyclists can pick up at various provincial cycle routes: Ijzerbroekenroute 41 km - Fleternaroute 46 km - Veurne-Ambachtroute 48 km - Moerenroute 39 km - Cobergherroute 51 km - Boterlandroute 44 km - Bakelandroute 46 km. It offers more than 1000 km of attractive and safe cycle routes in two directions that are marked with numbered intersections. You can discover the region with two bike maps: "Westhoek North and Westhoek South".
Walking
The hiker can choose from 8 trails from 3.5 to 16 km long, everything is nicely marked and bundled in a nice walking map. Pollinkhove
- The St. Bartholomew Church - This Gothic church with preserved, 63 m high tower from 1554 is certainly worth a visit
- St Machuut chapel - small rural chapel
- The Machuutschans - On April 25, 1794 brave inhabitants of Pollinkhove fought against the French invaders
- The Markey mill dates from 1797
- Fintele - At the confluence of the Ijzer and the Lovaart, you will find the hamlet Fintele. William I of the Netherlands ordered to build the current sluice complex in 1827
Lo
- The St. Peter’s Church - a neo-gothic church that was already mentioned in 1119. Has been repeatedly rebuilt.
- The Dovecote - built in 1710, the tower has 1132 pigeonholes
- The Westpoort with its Caesar’s Tree - the only remaining city gate of Lo. There used to be four of them.
- The monastery dating from 1497 (recently purchased by the municipality)
- Vatevijver - pit mentioned in 1404 and served as a fishing pond and water reserve, people also used it when there was a fire
- City Hall - Built in Renaissance style by Joos Staesin from Ypres in 1565 – 1566 to replace the old town hall
